content creation

You need blogs, website copy, words for your email marketing of captions for social media. Probably a mix of all of these and a bit more too. You also need these words to convince your next customer to buy what you’re selling.

Words are what influence your customers to buy your products. Great copy will persuade, entertain and convey your brand message. With over 12 years of copywriting experience, I’ve worked with brands like Trunki, Octopus, Genius Foods, Dr Will’s and more. I’ve also created bad-ass copy for coaches, consultants and lots of B2B businesses.

I’m Fiona. I’ve been working in the content space in one way or another for over 15 years. Starting in the independent music industry, and going solo in 2012, I’ve been supporting businesses with their content marketing so they can help create a better world.

I bring energy and insight to every project and client, looking for a different kind of approach to everything else out there.

How I work:

I like to see the people I’m working with before I start to write for them. A good conversation can give me more information than your brand guidelines or tone of voice guide, but both of these are pretty useful, too.

I’m not into hard sales or convincing someone they want to work with me. I have plenty of copywriting examples. If you’re looking for a particular style or industry, let me know. And my clients are all lovely, so if you need to speak with them and check I’m a good egg, I’ll put you in touch.

But I don’t do writing tests or any of that malarkey. I’ve been writing for many years and train business owners, young folks and those starting out.  If I’m not the writer for you, let me know as I can probably recommend someone else.

I’ve also got a life outside of work where I hang out with my kids, do karate, go for the odd run and listen to lots of music. This means that I only work certain days and hours. Usually, this is when the kids are in school. If your project is urgent, it’s best to have a chat about it.

And I’m a stickler for deadlines. If you need something by a certain time, that’s when you’ll get it.

Don’t fancy chatting with me on Zoom? Send an email to fiona@indieessentials.co.uk and I’ll get back to you.
